DSWR
Hey, Everyone... Nice to be here:) Bit unexpected me ending up as a Ford owner.. Never seen it happening. No hate towards them, just wasn't an initial plan, haha. I'm 19, had a few wagons now. Big car enthusiast, especially in the modified car scene. I like to think I'm tasteful in what I do, none of the boy racer stuff... I'll let you lot decide that, though. I previously had a one litre corsa c, typical chav wagon. Tried to make it look as neat as possible. Really thought it looked smart. Custom panels all over, smoothed tailgate, bumpers, got the irmscher kit on it, then even added the corsa D VXR seats, steering wheel, gear knob, and a few other fancy things.. Had custom leather a/b/c pillars and roof.. Was a real smart motor. In the end, whole 1 litre thing kind of killed it for me, poor car was just fed up of living. Back then there was decisions of engine change but in the end just felt like a total change and moved on to the peugeot.. 1.4 206, ended up being a 2litre with 180 break after an engine change, never really finished this project sadly. Ended up getting t-boned at about 4mph... Had a car reverse out of a parking spot and not realise I was there because the car was so low.. I don't have a build thread of the corsa, bit if you wanted to see more of the peugeot, feel free to check it out on my facebook (https://www.facebook.com/NOTDANWHITE/media_set?set=a.10152136220999769.1073741854.598964768&type=3) a lot was done to this car.. Just gutted I never seen it finished. Was one of the most loved 206's out there from all the french community forums. Proud moment:) Now, for my new car. I've decided to go for the Ford Fiesta Zetec 12.5... I've decided to wait for 64plate, so I'm expected to get it for around the 11th. Buying brand new as got a family relative working for land rover so decent little discount:) Went for frozen white as well as I think it'll look smart after a few minor modifications. Cars on finance, probably keep it a year then move onto the ST when my insurance drops.. Going to be paying 600£ with no no claims at 19. Not bad:) Not had any incidents, just never kept an insurance policy for longer than 11 months (doh). Just curious to what you've all got to say on my choice? I was originally going for the 1 litre turbo charged model but the waiting list was too much in my area so knocked it on the head. ST was 1400 to insure which felt a bit steep seeing as I could get it dropped with a years no claims.
WFCSmiffy
Hey mate welcome, I'm also new here! Just a quick question, I've heard the 206's are renowned for their electrical faults, did you have any whilst you was modifying yours? I like your style also, original and takes away from the chav scene, I like it!

The 206 had new everything, literally, haha. Nice to meet you, by the way:)

jeebowhite
Welcome to the family Daniel! Now, I was enjoying read until I read the C word.... eurk! :p not a fan of the chav wagon, but I must admit - compared to the truely chavved up variants here, yours looked smarter than the others I have seen (but its still a Corsa :p and you will come to learn that vauxhall takes a ribbing over here :p) As for the cars, you have done quite well for yourself so far, and getting the insurance so cheaply too! now that is impressive! my cars not performance modded, couple of small things, and I pay that on a 1.8 TDCI mondeo, so your rates are pretty cheap! Are you buying brand new from factory, or are you buying brand new from showroom?

Are you buying brand new from factory, or are you buying brand new from showroom? I loved the corsa, haha. It's one of them, you love it, or you hate it. Most people will appreciate them once giving them a drive:) truly wicked cars but they do attract the wrong audience, haha. I did call it a chav wagon myself. Everyone I know did:) I'm used to getting ripped into, a corsa, then a peugeot? it can only get better, right? haha! I'm buying new from factory. I want my wagon mint for the money I'm paying so I expect it off the line and not out of their showroom where it's been sitting months. Got a few minor modifications planned for this.. Nothing as drastic as the other two. I'm planning on keeping the car possibly for a month, then moving to the ST on proper modified car insurance (then I'll go mad on that, haha)
